HKBU Showcases Innovative Art Tech at FILMART 2025

HKBU, along with its art tech startups, is participating in the Hong Kong International Film and TV Market (FILMART) 2025, organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. The event takes place from March 17 to 20 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

At the HKBU pavilion, visitors can explore cutting-edge projects powered by artificial intelligence (AI) and future cinematic education. Key highlights include:

  • AI Motion Acting Agent: An AI-driven system for adaptive motion generation, facilitating interactive animation and immersive storytelling.

  • DigitalGuardian: An AI technology safeguarding digital creators' intellectual property by embedding imperceptible markers into digital assets.

  • Creating New Universes with Virtual Reality: Two VR projects inspired by Stanisław Lem’s novel and the folklore of Hong Kong and the UK.

  • VotR.AR: An augmented reality installation allowing visitors to explore Leonardo da Vinci’s "Virgin of the Rocks" in a virtual 3D environment.

  • Future Cinema Systems: A platform offering immersive cinematic experiences with next-generation art technologies.
