HKBU Presents Pioneering Health Research and Solutions at International Healthcare Week 2026

Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) proudly participated in the prestigious Asia Summit on Global Health (ASGH) and the Hong Kong International Medical and Healthcare Fair, held from 11-13 May at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. As premier platforms for healthcare clinical and business collaboration, these events provided an invaluable opportunity for HKBU to showcase a diverse portfolio of health innovations. This year, the University spotlighted its leading-edge advancements in smart therapeutics and holistic well-being, focusing on modernised Chinese medicine, food as medicine, mental wellness, and novel drug discovery. Driven by HKBU’s thriving start-up ecosystem and research initiatives, these breakthroughs span critical sectors from AI and digital health to medical devices. This diverse showcase reflects the University's commitment to translating world-class academic research into practical, global healthcare solutions.

At ASGH, our distinguished start-up representatives, including Miss Kid CHAN, Project Manager of Pishon Biotech Limited, and Ms Angela MAK, co-founder of Yiluda Traditional Chinese Medicine (International) Limited, attended the key project pitching sessions. Their engaging presentations showcased HKBU's impressive research accomplishments on the global stage, introducing international investors and healthcare leaders to Pishon’s botanical antiviral solutions for animal health and Yiluda’s AI-driven clinical platform for modernised Chinese medicine.

Concurrently, at the Hong Kong International Medical and Healthcare Fair, HKBU spotlighted featured start-up Jelumiere Biotech Limited. Jelumiere showcased its flagship skincare brand, LumieGlow. Grounded in 'preservation over correction', the clinical-backed innovation exemplifies HKBU’s mission to translate preventative science into everyday well-being.
