HKBU was honoured to participate in the esteemed Asia Summit on Global Health (ASGH) 2025 and the Hong Kong International Medical and Healthcare Fair. These events offered us a valuable opportunity to showcase innovative life science solutions created by our start-ups and research initiatives, encompassing areas such as community health, medical devices, and treatments. This participation underscores our dedication to building relationships with healthcare professionals and industry leaders, while contributing to the shared progress of the healthcare sector.
At ASGH, our distinguished start-ups and projects representatives, including Prof. REN Kangning, from the Department of Chemistry, Dr Jenny NG from the Department of Biology, and Mr TANG Pang Wang, attended the project pitching session. Their engaging presentations showcased HKBU's impressive research accomplishments, with Dr Jenny NG stood out among 16 projects to receive a commendation certificate. This recognition serves as a powerful testament to our institution's research excellence and innovative potential.
Furthermore, during the ASGH agreement signing ceremony, HKBU's RAISe+ project took centre stage, demonstrating our unwavering commitment to advancing medical diagnostics. The "Avalon Automated Multiplex System (AAMST)," a cutting-edge nucleic acid testing platform, was unveiled as part of a new partnership with Gleneagles Hospital.
