Ideas Exchange for Hong Kong and Zhuhai's start-ups
The “Zhuhai National Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone - Hong Kong Innovation and Entrepreneurship Conference 2024,” organised by the Zhuhai National Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone (Hi-tech Zone) and co-organised by the HKBU Knowledge Transfer Office, concluded successfully on 8 Jul 2024. This landmark event showcased innovative projects and explored collaborative opportunities between Hong Kong’s academic institutions and the vibrant industrial environment of the Hi-tech Zone.
The conference facilitated a dynamic exchange of ideas and innovations between HKBU and Zhuhai’s burgeoning start-up community. In a significant expansion of the conference’s collaborative spirit, start-ups from the universities in Hong Kong were also invited to participate, enriching the dialogue and broadening the scope of shared knowledge and opportunities.
Participants were introduced to the business environment and preferential policies of the Hi-tech Zone, as well as the support available for establishing businesses in Zhuhai. These demonstrations provided the Hi-tech Zone with valuable insights, highlighting the potential for these innovative companies to expand into the mainland market or the Greater Bay Area. The event underscored the importance of cross-regional collaboration in driving technological advancement and entrepreneurial growth.
Attendees had the opportunity to present or showcase their innovations and project outcomes during the event, increasing their projects’ exposure and potential for collaboration.
