HKBU Inventions shine at 28th National Invention Exhibition 

Innovative research projects conducted by Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) researchers shone at the 28th National Invention Exhibition-One Belt One Road & BRICS Skills Development and Technological Innovation Competition held from 11 to 13 December 2024, receiving three prizes including one Gold Medal, one Silver Medal and one Bronze Medal.

Gold Medal
  • Aspire Motion® AI Healthcare Platform

Booguu’s Aspire Motion® is an end-to-end healthcare platform to prevent and reduce the chances of elderly falls through early risk assessment and personalised therapy. Risk specific therapy exercises are provided through a mobile app. The performances of the exercises are objectively measured using the wearable device.

  • All-scenario rapid testing platform against antimicrobial resistance

This invention offers an antimicrobial susceptibility testing (AST) platform which revolutionise mass screening with a rapid, smartphone-readable "barcode" cell sensor and a hydrogel-based system for detailed polymicrobial analysis, streamlining processes in clinical, food safety, and pandemic management.

  • TadReamk Eye: Trademark AI Infringement Detection

TadReamk Eye is an Artificial Intelligence (AI) product that enables users to upload trademarks or logos of products. Utilizing its unique algorithm, it compares these images against an existing database to identify potential infringement issues. 

 

This year's National Invention Exhibition is taking place in Zhongshan, centered around the theme 'Wisdom Gathers in Zhongshan, Flourishing in the GBA.' The exhibition aims to foster a deep integration of technology and industry by highlighting exceptional technological innovations from both local and international inventors, thereby contributing to the growth of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and supporting the development of Zhongshan.
