The Startup Semester courses use the globally-recognized Berkeley Method of Entrepreneurship, an approach that emphasizes hands-on venture-building, and learning the mindsets and behaviors that lead to entrepreneurial success. You will learn from seasoned entrepreneurs, who have built startups in nearby Silicon Valley, the worldwide innovation hub. In addition to building new ventures, or advancing your current idea, you will have the opportunity to grow your network, by interacting with our diverse community of researchers, entrepreneurs, students, and investors.
Being one of 15 global partners of Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology (SCET) of UC Berkeley, HKBU has successfully sent seven HKBU students from six academic units to Startup Semester Programme in Fall 2018. They were financially supported by our generous donors and their respective academic units. (Check out here for their fruitful experience at UC Berkeley: http://kto.hkbu.edu.hk/best-community/news002f.html)
