We are delighted to share the good news that Prof Kara Chan and Prof Ken Yung have won the HKBU Knowledge Transfer Award and Innovationem Award, respectively, at HKBU Entrepreneur Day cum KT Awards Ceremony last Friday (see photo attached).
Of the many accolades received from the judging panel and the community, Prof Chan’s project for supporting “Independent Enquiry Study” among secondary school students is indeed a true exemplar knowledge transfer project that will continue to benefit the community for years to come. Similarly, Prof Yung’s invention on personalised neural stem cell technology for treating patients with incurable diseases is considered the most promising innovation of the year for 2016 at HKBU (see the abstracts attached).
We would like to once again congratulate Prof Chan and Prof Yung! Also, through these Awards, we hope to honour and appreciate, and encourage our colleagues to purse even more excellence in their academic and/ or research works to contribute to our community – towards the achievement of the goals of our HKBU’s Vision 2020.
