Innovating for a Healthier Future: HKBU Highlights Life Science Solutions at ASGH 2023 

HKBU participated in the esteemed Asia Summit on Global Health (ASGH) 2023, where we had the opportunity to showcase the innovative life science solutions developed by our 10 start-ups and research teams. Our aim was to engage with healthcare professionals and industry players and contribute to the collective advancement of the field.

During the event, Professor Bian Zhaoxiang, Associate Vice-President (Chinese Medicine Development) and Director of the Centre for Chinese Herbal Medicine Drug Development Limited, led a session on integrated Chinese-Western medicine development, alongside Professor Lyu Aiping, Dean and Chair Professor of the School of Chinese Medicine. Additionally, Dr Ada Fung, Associate Professor of the Department of Sport, Physical Education, and Health, provided valuable insights derived from her research on dementia and mental healthcare.

We are delighted to share that one of our start-ups, Booguu Company Limited received recognition as the Best-performing Start-up in the ASGH Project Pitching Session "AI & Digital Health." This recognition is a testament to their dedication and innovative efforts in advancing healthcare technology.
